You can permanently delete your WardenLock account and the information tied to it at any time. There are two ways to do it — pick whichever is easier for you.
Delete it yourself in WardenLock
Open WardenLock, go to Settings, and choose Delete Account. You'll be asked to confirm, and your account and inventory are removed right away. This is the quickest option and doesn't require contacting us.
Ask us to delete it for you
If you can't sign in, email us from the address on your account and we'll take care of it. Just send a quick note asking us to delete your account.
Or write to [email protected] with the subject "Delete my account." We verify the request comes from the account owner before we delete anything, then confirm by email once it's done.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove the personal information associated with it, including:
- Your account profile — name, email, household name, and any address you added.
- Your inventory content — items, rooms, photos, serial numbers, values, notes, and attached documents like receipts and warranties.
- Household member invitations and profile details you created.
What we may keep, and for how long
Active deletion happens promptly — typically within 30 days of your request. A few limited records may be kept a little longer where the law requires it or to protect the Service, for example:
- Billing & tax records for purchases, which we're required to retain for accounting and legal reasons.
- Security & fraud-prevention records needed to keep accounts safe.
- Encrypted backups, which are purged on a rolling schedule (within 90 days), after which your data is gone from those too.
